The team at IRS have recently completed work to supply and replace air conditioning units at Leicestershire Police HQ Contact Management Centre. Tandem installation of new condensers with the decommissioning of old units using a crane lift was required to ensure the critical area inside the Contact Management Center remained air-conditioned, allowing for 999 operators to remain operational. This was a particularly challenging phased installation project for the team at IRS, one which required detailed planning and efficient management and coordination of several parties and subcontractors.
Mark Parsons, Managing Director at IRS explains, ‘Not only were IRS required to supply and install all of the new ductwork and associated equipment in the Contact Management Centre but it was necessary for us to connect the system to the existing Trend BMS System utilising a Procon Interface.’ He adds, ‘We were required to work closely with all parties involved with this project and maintain an excellent line of communication to ensure the successful completion of this project on time and within budget. We take Health and Safety extremely seriously here at IRS and carried out a strict vetting process with all our contractors to ensure high quality and professional work was successfully completed.’
