It’s that time again…. RED NOSE DAY! This year, the team at Industrial Refrigeration Services Ltd plan to fundraise for the charity and have given themselves the challenge of raising £100 which will be used to help transform the lives of others across Africa and throughout the UK.

Bromsgrove based IRS Ltd are passionate about supporting fundraising events and have in the past, supported various charitable causes including Cannock based charity S.N.A.P who support local children with special needs. This year the team have pledged to raise a total of £100 for Comic Relief by wearing red clothing and red motifs to work on Red Nose Day on Friday 24th March.

Nicola Dempsey explains ‘IRS are very keen to support the work of Comic Relief who aim to tackle the root causes of poverty and social injustice across the world’. She adds, ‘The team and I are very excited to be fundraising on Red Nose Day and are very much looking forward to wearing red into work on Friday and devouring a selection of tasty homemade cakes which will be brought in to sell.’

Comic Relief first began back in 1985 and since then has helped changed the lives of thousands of individuals and communities throughout the world. Through a variety of fundraising campaigns, the charity aims to drive positive change through the power on entertainment and awareness.

The team at IRS are experts when it comes to industrial and large commercial refrigeration and air conditioning units. At the start of 2017 the team completed work to supply and replace air conditioning units at Leicestershire Police HQ Contact Management Centre. This project was especially challenging as tandem installation of new condensers with the decommissioning of old units was required to ensure the critical area inside the Contact Management Centre remained air-conditioned, allowing for 999 operators to remain operational.
