The Energy Efficiency Technical Seminar which took place last week at the Holiday Inn Hotel Bromsgrove, received positive feedback from businesses who attended the half day event.

It provided a valuable insight into how energy can be saved through effective monitoring and maintenance of cooling systems, plus guidance on F-GAS compliance with guest speaker Roger Smith.

Mark Parsons, Managing Director at IRS, was delighted with the response to the seminar saying “It’s the first seminar we’ve organised and there was such a great reaction when we showed the audience what savings can be made by intelligent monitoring of cooling systems. Another highlight was the talk by Roger Smith from AGAS who took us through FGAS compliance and legislation. Often a subject which is full of complexities, Roger delivered a digestible overview with practical advice.” Mark adds “I’d just like to thank everyone who came along and look forward to seeing you at the next seminar”.

The team will now take the seminar on a roadshow of events across the region, delivering energy efficiency advice to businesses where cooling systems generate high expenditure. IRS which were awarded ISO 14001:2004 at the beginning of the year are focused on helping businesses improve their environmental performance through more efficient use of resources and reduction of waste. Using their 25 years’ experience, IRS are well placed to advise businesses on both optimising refrigeration and air conditioning systems and the latest regulatory requirements.
