As with many live projects, there were some changes along the way. During the build, the client re-purposed two rooms, which required a re-design of the air conditioning and ventilation systems. To accommodate this, we introduced additional fresh air and adapted our coordinated drawings to ensure performance was not compromised.
Another challenge involved the building’s roof drainage. This limited where the external condensers could be positioned. To overcome this, our engineers modified the supports, repositioned equipment where necessary, and installed drip trays to protect the drainage system.
By working flexibly and collaboratively, IRS ensured the project remained on track and met the revised client requirements.
The new Cheshire Oaks Visitor Centre now benefits from a fully integrated commercial air conditioning and ventilation system designed to provide comfort, energy efficiency, and robust performance for staff and visitors alike.
