From HVAC & Refrigeration to Reforestation: Turning Action into Impact

In 2025, through our partnership with Treeapp, we planted 2,912 trees across global reforestation projects, bringing our total tree count to 6,250 since we began this journey. But the real story isn’t just in the number of trees. It’s in the land restored, the carbon absorbed, and the communities supported as a result.

Here’s what that impact really looks like.

Our 2025 Impact in Numbers

According to our latest Treeapp Impact Report, our 2025 contribution has helped to achieve:

• 2,912 trees planted
• 1.94 hectares of land reforested
• 317.41 tonnes of CO₂ expected to be absorbed over the trees’ lifetime
• 29 workdays created for local communities and farmers
• Support for projects across 13 countries
• Planting across 431 different tree species

To put the carbon impact into perspective, the lifetime CO₂ absorption from these trees is equivalent to approximately 949 flights from London to New York.

Where Our Trees are Making a Difference

Our trees aren’t planted in one location. They support carefully selected, science-backed reforestation projects around the world, including:

Ethiopia, Kenya, Haiti, Burundi, Tanzania, Nepal, Indonesia, Brazil, Madagascar, Guinea, Ecuador, the Philippines and Peru.

Each project is aligned to at least one of the UN Sustainable Development Goals, meaning the impact goes far beyond planting trees.

For example:

• In Tanzania, fruit and nut trees improve food security through agroforestry.
• In Haiti and the Philippines, mangroves protect coastlines from storms while filtering pollutants from water.
• In Nepal, forestry work provides employment and financial independence for women, who make up nearly 40% of the workforce.
• In Brazil and Peru, planting supports Indigenous communities while strengthening carbon sequestration and protecting threatened landscapes.
• In Madagascar and Ethiopia, projects focus on ecosystem rehabilitation and reducing inequalities through long-term employment.

This is biodiversity in action, with species such as mangroves, jacaranda and strawberry guava planted in the right place, at the right time, for the right ecological reason.

Why Our Partnership with Treeapp Matters

Treeapp’s approach is grounded in science, transparency and ethics. In 2025, Treeapp increased its B-Corp recertification score from 101.1 to 123.8, a 22.5% improvement, demonstrating exceptional standards in environmental and social governance.

For IRS, this means every tree planted is part of a verified, responsibly managed and community-led reforestation project with measurable long-term outcomes.

Supporting Communities

One of the most powerful aspects of this work is the human impact.

Tree planting, maintenance and long-term monitoring create paid workdays for local people. In 2025 alone, our contribution helped to create 29 workdays, supporting livelihoods in regions where sustainable employment makes a real difference.

So while we talk about hectares, tonnes of CO₂ and species diversity, we’re also talking about income, stability and opportunity for communities across the globe.

Looking Ahead in 2026

Tree planting remains one of the most effective natural methods of capturing and storing atmospheric carbon while restoring biodiversity and supporting communities.

Thanks to this partnership, IRS is playing a small but meaningful part in a global effort that has now seen Treeapp plant over 6 million trees across more than 20 countries. We’re proud of what 2,912 trees represent in 2025.
